Occupational Therapy
The owner of Therapy Sanctuary, Therapist Tana, is an Occupational Therapist by profession. Because of this, all activities at the center are designed with a special focus on optimizing efficiency in all human occupations including occupations of; self-care, productivity, leisure, and social participation.
Because all individuals are unique, therapy will include initial assessments followed by a prescription of activities (this word hyper-linked to the activities part of the website) which will allow you to achieve your therapy goals, be they; managing stress better, becoming more efficient at problem solving, resolving conflict, social skills training or even modern-day Vocational skills training that will help you align your true talents to earning an income.
Fitness trainers
Research has shown that people who exercise regularly have better mental health, emotional wellbeing, and lower rates of mental illness. Because of this, Therapy Sanctuary has teamed up with fitness trainers who specialize in different training programs. Available sessions include kickboxing, weight-lifting, yoga, cardio, and zumba, including individualized weight-loss programs.
